Congratulations on founding the Sino-German Centre for innovative Environmental Technologies (WATCH e.V.)

For sustainable WATCH development, during the implementation of the WATCH research platform (Sino-German Centre for Water And healTh researCH), which was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), it was planned to found an association under the umbrella of WATCH. The founding meeting of the Sino-German Centre for innovative Environmental Technologies was held very successfully in Aachen on April 4th, 2023, with the participation of the Chinese and German members from the industry. On June 1st, 2023, the Sino-German Centre for innovative Environmental Technologies was officially registered at the District Court of Aachen. The short form of the Centre is in continuation of the BMBF project WATCH e.V..

“The Centre (WATCH e.V.) was realized under the umbrella of the WATCH research platform. It has a bridging function for the WATCH research platform in Chinese-German cooperation and will actively support future WATCH activities in China and Germany.” This long-term cooperation with the Chinese and German industries, which is anchored in the statutes of the WATCH e.V., is a pillar for ensuring the sustainability of the WATCH research platform.
